Groups are also open to the "Staffordshire Link" - members of Burton-on-Trent, Cannock Chase, Cheadle, Stafford, Stoke-on-Trent South and Uttoxeter and District u3a's. These u3a's members may attend our groups (if group numbers permit) for £2 per session payable to the Group Leader.

If you are not a member of our u3a you may attend "taster" sessions free of charge - Please contact the Group Leader for further details.

Joining Stone (Staffs) and District U3a

We have a Membership Form, which we ask you to download, print, complete, and send back to our Membership Secretary (postal address on the form). Payment information can be found on the Form.

You can alternatively send a scanned copy of the completed Membership Form, or a clear photograph from your Smartphone as an attachment to memsec@stoneu3a.net.

Renewing your Membership

When Renewing your membership there is no need to complete another membership form but if any of your details have changed please inform the Membership Secretary by email so that your membership record can be updated. However, if you prefer to complete another membership form for this purpose then that is also acceptable.

Since the 2023/24 membership year membership payment via Bank Transfer (BACS) was introduced as a payment option. (Payment by PayPal is now discontinued).

The Full membership fee is currently £45 which includes access to activity groups.

If you wish to have a paper copy of the u3a magazine, ‘Third Age Matters’ there is an additional fee of £3.80 so please add this to your membership fee when paying. The u3a magazine ‘Third Age Matters’ is free to view on-line.
If you wish to discontinue receipt of the u3a magazine from last year or to receive it when you have not done so previously, please inform the Membership Secretary by email.

Group leaders have the option of paying a reduced fee of £25 as a thank you for their much appreciated, hard work.

GIFT AID ...

If you can, please GIFT AID your subscriptions and any donations you may make to Stone (Staffs) & District u3a. Every £1.00 your subscribe (or donate) is then worth £1.25 to Stone (Staffs) and District u3a, and if you are a higher rate taxpayer, you can also claim an extra £0.15 back for yourself via your HMRC Self Assessment. To register with us for GIFT AID, please complete the GIFT AID section on our Membership Form.
