The group has run continuously since around 2011, and has always been popular. Our discussions are always friendly and cover a wide variety of topics but with a particular focus on philosophy. We have been very fortunate that many of our members have volunteered to lead individual sessions, but no-one will ever be pressured to do so!

The ‘cake’ part of our title refers to our breaktimes – where the social interactions are considered an important aspect of our meetings.
