The Reading Shakespeare Group meets at Aston Village Hall every Friday during term time from 10.00 am until 12.00 noon.

We close read about two plays a year, and over recent years have studied thirteen of Shakespeare’s plays and one by Beaumont. Close reading the plays, slowly, allows us to enjoy and discuss different interpretations of Shakespeare’s rich language, characters and plot developments.

As in other U3A groups, the variety of our life experiences brings depth to our interpretations and responses. We occasionally supplement our weekly meetings with theatre visits and other trips and social events. The group has proved very popular over a number of years.
